Even though, British-Nigerian boxing champ, Anthony Joshua still has a way to go before he is mentioned in the same breath as Lennox Lewis – he showed that he is well on the way after breaking Lewis’ heavyweight record. 2018 World Cup Qualifiers: Nigeria shares spoils with Algeria in final clash

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have finished their World Cup qualifier with no defeat as they played out a 1-1 draw against Algeria on Friday night in Constantine. John Ogu, with a wonder strike, gave Nigeria the lead in the 62nd minute, before Algeria pulled level late from the penalty spot. The Eagles had 14 points from six games during the qualifiers; winning four and drawing two. With the qualifiers now done and dusted, next stop for the Eagles is Tuesday’s international friendly against Argentina in Russia.

Martellus Bennett reportedly has been playing with torn rotator cuff, labrum

After the Packers released Martellus Bennett as a result of "failure to disclose a physical condition," the Patriots claimed the veteran tight end and now it appears Bennett has been playing with a torn rotator cuff and torn labrum.  The news was first reported by  NFL Network's Ian Rapoport  and later confirmed by  ESPN's Adam Schefter . According to Rapoport, Bennett could try to play through the injury, but if his efforts are unsuccessful the Patriots could put him on injured reserve at "no risk." The  Patriots claimed Bennett , 30, off of waivers just a day after he was  released by the Packers . It will cost New England less than $725,000 to have him on their roster for the rest of the season because of the way Bennett's contract is structured. Neymar Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar could join Real Madrid but it will be difficult, according to Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata. The Brazil international has again been linked to the La Liga champions, with Madrid captain Sergio Ramos saying the door was open for the 25-year-old. Neymar made a world-record move from Madrid’s fierce rivals Barcelona to PSG in August and has scored 11 goals in 12 games in all competitions for the Ligue 1 giants. Morata, who left Madrid for Chelsea in July, said Neymar joining his former club would be hard – but not impossible. “I think it is difficult because of his past,” the Spain international told El Larguero. “But we have already seen that in Madrid there is no impossible.” Zinedine Zidane’s men are eight points behind rivals and La Liga leaders Barcelona through 11 matches this season.
