Anti-corruption authorities in Latvia have arrested the governor of the country’s central bank, Ilmars Rimsevics, the government said Sunday, while assuring there is “no sign of danger” to the financial system. Rimsevics, who was appointed governor in 2001, was detained by officers from the Corruption Prevention Bureau (KNAB) on Saturday and questioned for seven hours before being taken to another location on Sunday, according to a journalist from the   Baltic News Agency . Border police on discovered four African migrants hidden within one car after it sped through the border crossing into Spain from Morocco. The driver and a passenger drove at speed past police officers at the Beni-Enzar checkpoint before abandoning the car at a petrol station and running off. Upon searching the car, officers found two men cramped inside the car boot, while another was curled up inside the bonnet. A woman was then found squeezed inside the car dashboard. In a shocking incident, a 5-year-old girl was allegedly raped and brutally murdered on Friday at Hisar's Uklana village in Haryana, India. The post-mortem confirms rape and torture, further telling that 16cm of the stick was found inside her- that damaged her uterus and intestines, reports India Today.
