Those Who Don’t Pay Their Tithes Are Will Become Permanent Beggars – Bishop Oyedepo

This tithe issues has really thrown most Nigerian pastors benefiting from it into chaos. Bishop David Oyedepo, founder, Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Thursday explained why it is important for Christians to pay tithe. Oyedepo said tithing opens the windows of heaven and ensures divine blessings for Christians, stressing that those who don’t tithe are permanently beggars. He said this while addressing members of Dunamis International Gospel Center in Abuja and monitored by DAILY POST. According to Oyedepo,; “If you don’t pay tithe you are permanently a beggar. “I’m permanently under an open heaven. Every seed you give to God returns but only tithe secures your destiny.Its tithing that secures your blessing. “Through the mystery of tithing you don’t run out of divine ideas. Tithing opens the windows of heaven and pours you quick understandings.”

Diabetes kills only careless people, says Obasanjo

Former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo says that diabetes only kills those who are careless about its treatment. Obasanjo made the statement on Friday in Abeokuta when he led hundreds of people on a road walk to sensitise the populace on the disease and how to manage it. The road walk was organised by the South West Zone of the Diabetes Association of Nigeria (DAN) in collaboration with the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), to mark the 2017 World Diabetes Day. The two kilometre walk which began at the OOPL, passed through MKO Abiola Way with 15 minutes stop-over at the premises of Sunny Yinka Oil before terminating at the take-off point. Pope condemns anti-migrant propaganda

Pope Francis on Friday said people spreading anti-migrants propaganda “are sowing violence, racial discrimination and xenophobia” and called for global agreements on protection of refugees. Francis, who stressed the need for the rights of migrants and other destitute several times, made a fresh appeal for them in a message released ahead of the World Day of Peace. Why APC won't offer Buhari automatic 2019 ticket: Tinubu

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has ruled out  automatic ticket for President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential election in the party. Tinubu said that the party would stick to  democratic process  in choosing who would fly the flag of the party. An online news platform, New Edition, reported that Tinubu spoke on Wednesday  when he spoke with journalists in Akure, Ondo State. The respected politician had earlier met with the leadership of the Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere. Norbert Chikerema has been sentenced to life in prison after he was found guilty of murdering his wife Norbert Chikerema has been jailed for life after he was found guilty of murdering his wife and dumping her body in a supermarket car park, according to the  Birmingham Mail. Chikerema, 42 was told by the Birmingham Crown Court he would serve a minimum of 22 years after he struck Nyasha Kahari, a mother of four, at least 40 times with numerous weapons, including an axe, before driving her body to Lidl in Tile Cross. The court heard previously that Chikerema and his wife, also known as Gillian, ran a nursing home business and that he believed she was seeing another man. On January 29 this year they visited a number of addresses, leaving the last one at 11pm and shortly afterwards the defendant attacked his wife. She had been sitting in the front seat of their Nissan and he used an axe to strike his wife over and over again aiming principally at the head and neck. Stephen

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, on Friday reacted to report of ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar dumping the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. The two-time Minister commended the Waziri of Adamawa, saying it took courage to take such bold step. Fani-Kayode, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, also welcomed to former Vice President back to the fold of the PDP. In a tweet via his handle, Fani-Kayode wrote: “Congrats to @atiku for dumping the plague called APC and coming back home to the PDP family.“It took courage to take that bold step and I commend him for it.” Abubakar had earlier in a statement resigned from the ruling APC.His resignation was contained in a statement he personally signed on Friday. Former Nigerian vice president Atiku Abubakar has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, his media aide Paul Ibe said on Friday. Ibe, however, did not state which party the former vice president would join.
