Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, has explained why he was desperate to swap shirts with Cristiano Ronaldo, after their 1-1 draw with Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday. Kane admitted that he has also been a fan of the Portugal captain and plans to frame the shirt. “I asked for his shirt at the end. He was a big role model of mine growing up. It’s a nice shirt to get. I will frame it. “It was a great night for us. One we can be proud of — the fans can be proud of. The whole club can be proud. “I gave him my shirt. WhatsApp app users can now share their movements in real-time in the world's most popular chat app. Quoted from the Express page, this newest feature of WhatsApp is called Live Location, and ets users track their chat partners’ movement for 30 minutes, an hour or eight hours at a time. Previously, WhatsApp has allowed users to share their location as stationary places on a map. Now, when a user selects Live Location, the user’s friends can see their location on the map, which is automatically updated as they move. WhatsApp has stated that its new feature is "a simple and safe way to let people know where you are". The end-to-end location is encrypted – similar to messages, photos, videos and files you send in WhatsApp – which should remove some users' fears about this feature. Nigerian president, President Muhammad Buhari has showed his concern over the unpaid salaries and allowances of workers, in spite of the interventions of the Federal Government. President Muhammad Buhari stated this when he received a group of governors led by Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) Chairman Abdul’Aziz Yari at the State House in Abuja. The Akwa Ibom State Police command has arrested an elder at Light of the World Mission Church, in Uyo, named Sunday Uko for killing his wife. The Command said Uko allegedly killed his wife, Mrs. Martha Sunday Uko, 35, after a minor quarrel which resulted into a fight. According to a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, Bala Elkana, the suspect after killing his wife and mother of three children, chopped her remains into pieces before dumping them in a waste bin. The statement reads partly, “Later, the suspect at midnight cut her remains into pieces, packed them in two sacks, put them in a wheelbarrow and poured them into a waste bin near NDLEA’s office, off Nwaniba Road, Uyo. “The suspect killed his wife in the presence of their children, who thereafter reported to the police, for fear of being murdered by their father. “During interrogation, he confessed to the crime. “Investigation is on. The suspect will be arraigned for murder.”

Ekiti State Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), has slammed Governor Ayo Fayose of the state for allegedly diverting funds meant to pay pensioners and workers in the state. CNPP, while reacting to a report by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which indicted the Fayose administration for allegedly diverting N680 million bailout fund, yesterday described the alleged diversion as “callous and greedy.” In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, by CNPP’s Director of Publicity, Kunle Omotayo, said 16 political parties in the state met and regretted that pensioners and workers were owed several arrears after the state had received intervention funds from the Federal Government. Report reaching us says the Warri Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force has arrested the Administrative Head of Royal Clinic, Dr. Walter and another person over the alleged seven months detention of two minors, Kareen Ehikioya and Great favour Ehikioya against their wish by the hospital over four hundred thousand naira unpaid medical bills. At the time of filing this report, the medical director and the other person were making formal statements before the police in Warri. The arrests of the suspects was based on a petition instituted by the Nigerian Child Welfare Fund led by Mr. Joshua Omorere. Mr Omorere who confirmed the arrest had asked the Police to “verify” if Dr. Walter is truly a medical doctor, stressing that his conduct was against the ethics of the medical profession. All is currently not well in Kogi State as the Abuja-Lokoja highway is completely on lock down following the killing of a tanker driver allegedly by the officials of the state revenue board. According to an eyewitness account, the revenue officials were said to have flagged down the truck driver which was coming from Maiduguri and heading to the South West at about 1:00a.m, early Wednesday morning. His vehicle was said to have been impounded until he paid a revenue fee of N5,000. This was said to have generated a heated argument between the truck driver and the revenue officials which later snowballed to physical brawl. The account further said one of the revenue officials, who was said to be dead drunk, allegedly hit the tanker driver with an iron object, which led to the death of the driver.
