North Korea has lambasted US President Donald Trump for recognising Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, renewing its description of him as a “dotard” in a statement released Saturday on state media. Nigeria’s former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has hailed the decision of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Fani-Kayode, writing on his Twitter page, hailed it as a “great and courageous move” and claimed “millions of believers are overjoyed”. He tweeted: “I commend @realDonaldTrump and the USA for RECOGNISING JERUSALEM (the City of David) as the CAPITAL of Israel. “This is a great and courageous move! There are growing tensions in the Middle East as U.S. President Donald Trump is set to announce on Tuesday that the U.S. will recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. According to CNN, Trump is expected to make the announcement as he signs a waiver to keep the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv for another six months but says his administration will move the diplomatic mission to Jerusalem at some point, a goal long sought by Israel.
