Seun Kuti Says He Will NEVER Vote For Buhari For Jailing His Innocent Father Fela…

Though the clamour for the military man’s return to power as a civilian president is high in Lagos State more than other South Western states, the last
son of the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti has exclusively told R that he has not quickly forgotten what his father suffered in the hands of General Mohammadu Buhari and the late Tunde Idiagbon when he was the former was the  Military Head of State of Nigeria, and would therefore not vote for him.

Although, he was not categorical about voting for the incumbent, Goodluck Jonathan either, Seun said:

“Truth is that I have no reason to give my vote to any of the two contestants, but more especially Buhari because of the eternal emotional damage he caused the Kuti family, especially me,” he said.

Barely three years on earth, Buhari jailed the late Afrobeat King on currency trafficking charge in 1984 and Seun did not really get to know Fela, his father, till the controversial musician died.

Seun lost his dad 10 years after and he was a little above 13 years when Fela died of HIV/AIDS in August 1997.

Seun, who recently arrived from a musical tour of Asia, said that rather than give his support to Jonathan or Buhari,

“I will only urge Nigerians, especially her youths, to come out enmasse to elect the ruler of their choice so that Nigeria’s democracy will continue to grow.

As for me though, I will never vote for Buhari because of what he did to my father. It is a personal grouse.

“Buhari denied me the chance of seeing my father in the early stage of my life. He arrested and detained Fela in Kirikiri for the same number of years I was growing up without a father, and even did not allow his family members to see him on a daily basis. He eventually jailed my father and I will always remember that. He jailed my innocent father on currency trafficking, but he is claiming to be a saint now”.

Guardiola vows to ”kill” Man City team if they fail to win EPL

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has vowed to kill his players if they fail to finish the English Premier League (EPL) season without the title. Guardiola said there was no chance of his team becoming complacent despite their superb form to the start of the season. Manchester City continued their EPL dominance with a 2-0 win at Leicester City on Saturday. City have made a flying start to the season, dropping just two points from the first 12 games and are 8-point lead at the top of the table, scoring 40 goals and conceding just seven. “That is not going to happen because I am their manager,” Guardiola said. “The team, that is not going to happen. I’ll kill them. Complacency doesn’t happen in my teams. “They can play bad, teams are going to beat us, that happens. “But if you see the team, they have the desire to have the ball and play. We are not a team that speculates about absolutely anything. That’s not going to happen.”

Don’t Die Prematurely For People’s Obsessions”- Seyi Law To Wizkid, Davido (Photos)

Following the crew fight in Dubai last night, Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law has called on Wizkid and Davido to sheathe their swords and embrace peace. Seyi Law shared a picture of the duo and wrote; “To @wizkidayo and @davidoofficial Our lives are nothing, but the memories we create. Your celebrity status or starboyism is only a perception. Whether you’re the best or the worst, not everyone will agree. Don’t start hatred neither should you fan the fire of hate. Someday, our bodies will end up six feet below. Just above it, our memories will live fading with time. Sheathe your swords and embrace PEACE. Build legacies and write your names as legends. Don’t die prematurely for people’s obsessions. Both of you are doing awesomely well, don’t stop. Bless You. SEYILAW.”
